When Dattatreya Siva Baba returned to the U.S. for his Tamil New Year celebration in New York City, he taught a packed room of enthusiastic people how to delimit their thinking and how to access their hearts for powerful manifestations. The event was so popular that once all the chairs were taken, people were happy to sit in rows on the floor, against the wall, anywhere they could, to be able to listen to and practice meditations with the gentle siddha master who patiently described the human predicament and then taught half a dozen techniques to overcome it.

The next day, Baba then traveled to California to arrange for another groundbreaking seminar. In this one, Baba plans to teach techniques to overcome the poverty and recession which is gripping most of the United States, especially California and Florida. Both states have been especially hard hit with job losses and mortgage defaults.

Tamil New Year is the real new year and starts on April 14th (India time) which corresponds to the sun moving to Aries. Sun moving into Aries is really the beginning of the new year and not January 1. Baba predicts this year is going to be a prosperous one and also says  there are going to be hardships on the financial front as well as some unrest which will pile up as we go on towards 2012, the beginning of the Golden Age.

Baba discusses his plans for how the Golden Age has to organize itself in terms of human consciousness and the constitution of human body. He looks forward to 2012 as people infuse more and more light. Baba is going to teach Meditation in a different way involving sounds which can actually turn the body into light. He has been doing ongoing research on DNA, Mind Sound Technology involving scientists and medical schools . He says it is very promising research.

He wants us to be prayful to Sun during the New Year time (Sun is the Life giver) and gives the Gayatri mantra chant. He also gives a chant to bring money in your life during this economic downtime.
